30 for 30 Challenge Day #27: Anti-Fizzle

Thrilled to be in the home stretch, the rest of my closet is feeling neglected and abandoned. Don’t worry, cute pink top, I shall dance with you soon. I just have to finish what I started. Not only have I learned a lot though this whole process, but it’s made me realize how many things in my life I’ve started with good intentions but then let fizzle out. Well not anymore, this department is now anti-fizzle. Memo to follow. Also please note this was taken after my ladies and I ran 2.2 miles with our dogs and the swiftly showered and shipped off to work. Not too shabby.

My westerny (I wordified that) floral button down is happily remixed with my tiered fish-scale skirt. Not sure why I didn’t assemble this outfit before, I like the way the colors fit. And of course the Madden Girl wedges appear faithfully. Also playing today is the dangling star necklace from Sporadica and an antique piano ring from the 70’s that I rustled up at a flea market in New York.

For an onslaught on 70’s luster and all the mocking it commands, check out Plaid Stallions.

30 for 30 Challenge Day #26: Cut Short

So I says to myself I says, “Hey self, how about you stop whining about the heat and wear some shorts today?”. Great idea, Self. Especially since my bazaar rainbow farmer’s tan has abated and allowed me to wear shorts without harming others. I always try to think of the children.

Last addition to the arsenal are my Tommy Hilfiger shorts that I’ve had for awhile, comfy fit and fun button tabs on outside rolled cuffs. Then an unassuming remix of my white blouse, thrifted leather woven belt and the classic gladiators. The shorts were so freeing, I felt like jumping, so I tried:

Camera missed the good part where I landed all funky.

30 for 30 Challenge Day #25: Lovely Mistake

I refer a lot to the egg-frying heat out here in Vegas, and unfortunately for me I’m running low on unused options for the challenge so I had to turn to layers. I actually like the color scheme created when I pulled the plum top over my floral dress, it breathed new life into the pattern. But even when I was outside taking these photos, I realized my lovely mistake. I was already sweating after two minutes outside, this was going to be an accidental Krystyn-Bake.

Instead of my instinct towards the gladiator sandals I reached for my Guess boots this time, they haven’t let me down yet. Topping it off with some dangley black-beaded earrings and I’m ready to brave the day.

More things you can do with your eggs.
