A Content Coordinator works with Zappos Merchandising, Inc. Buyers and Brand Representatives in organizing and entering vital data and descriptions regarding product for future on-line sales. The CC is proactive and be able to develop a positive rapport and working relationship with employees, co-workers, and vendors alike.

Content Coordinators retrieve and organize pertinent product content information from the manufacturer and enter it into our database program. They work hand-in-hand with brand managers to gather these details in person when available. The CC acquires knowledge relevant to their product category in order to provide copy for brands/brand boutiques, product descriptions and Search Engine Optimization(SEO).

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to reports as detailed by Lead or Manager

  • Contact vendors for product information including UPCs and catalogs
  • Facilitate EDI testing and maintain EDI relationship
  • Ensure VAN, EDI Contact Name & Tech Contact Name are entered and current in our system
  • Look out for any potential legal issues regarding products

Qualifications:

  • Content Detailer experience
  • Advanced writing and grammar skills
  • Basic understanding of product lines offered
  • Advanced PC skills including:
    • Proven experience with all web browsers
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically excel)
    • Experience using e-mail programs such as Outlook
  • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Creative but comfortable with repetitive work
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Relevant Experience & Accomplishments:

Marketing/Graphic Design Experience

  • Managed and completed the design of company’s Annual Report including concept, layout, and printing
  • Completed extensive College level courses in Graphic Design, and Web Design
  • Successfully refined and implemented new procedures/forms within company.
  • Designed and maintained company website, including content updates, banner and button design(Portfolio available upon request)

Project Coordinating Experience

  • Managed and completed the design and printing of the company’s Annual Report Wrap – acting as liaison for upper management, marketing group, compliance and legal in ensuring that project was completed according to timeline and legal constraints.
  • Completed total overhaul and reprint of company’s collateral material, maintaining all 22 documents in updated form throughout multiple revisions and adhering to compliance guidelines for all product information.
  • Coordinated all company events including Chamber luncheons, expo booths and special events. Provided staff scheduling, equipment set up and tear down, give-away ordering, and product promotions.
  • Assisted in creating and implementing several internal and external campaigns.
